What can you do?
Arcanum offers AI Assistants that specialise on supporting teams with back office functions. These include; Finance, Customer Support, Human Resources, and sustainability management.
We focus on making integrating our AI assistants to take over repetitive tasks as easy and fast as possible.
Our AI Finance Assistant Archie is currently able to carry out end to end tasks including;
- Invoice processing from your Gmail inbox and into your Xero draft bills list
- AP reconciliation using your invoice and PO lists to provide a report and personalised draft emails to vendors based on the results
- Financial analysis of data in Xero to generate insights and produce finance reports
Our AI Customer Support Assistant Arcos, is able to respond to customer queries based on the knowledge base you choose to train them on - just like the way I am responding to you now.
How can I get my workflows connected?
Connecting and setting up your workflows is done easily and securely through our AI assistant management platform called Accelerate. This is where you choose which AI assistant and which workflows you would like to set up. The Accelerate platform also has the capability to allow you to connect your software and app accounts that are relevant to the workflow combination you choose. We are partnered with secure integration experts Workato, to ensure data from third parties is kept safe and private.
What software can I use with Arcanum?
We are continually adding the ability to integrate with more third party apps and software. Currently as of June 2023, our AI Assistants have the ability to integrate with Google Drive, Google Sheets, Gmail, Outlook and Xero. Our intention is that we will be able to support connecting to all relevant popular tools, and we are continually adding the ability to integrate with more third party apps and software. This partnership enables customers to use Workato’s Platform to integrate Arcanum’s Intelligent AI Features into their current workflows easily. This can be used for both operational improvements and product enhancements to take companies and products to the next level.
Is my data shared with third parties?
Arcanum and it’s partners (Workato and AWS) do not share your data with third parties. You can read more about Workato and AWS security overviews here. If you choose to connect other third party software accounts to Arcanum (via the Accelerate Platform when setting up your AI assistant’s workflows), our secure connection partner Workato will ensure that your data is kept safe.

We can either permanently delete your data or offer a one-off export of the client data.

Yes you can! We would love to help set you up with a free 30-day trial if you are interested in experiencing what it is like integrating an AI assistant into your team. As part of your 30-day free trial we will help you set up your first workflow within the Arcanum Accelerate Platform. What are the pricing plans offered by Arcanum.ai? How much does Arcanum cost?
In order to make our AI assistants as accessible as we can, we have a variety of plans so that you can find one that best fits where you are on your AI integration journey, and aligns with your business goals. Plans start from US$100/month and go up to US$5,000/month, depending on how many tasks your AI assistant needs to do. You can also start smaller and then upgrade as time goes on if you prefer to integrate AI more slowly.

Are there any additional costs or hidden fees?
There are no ‘hidden’ fees, but it is important to be aware that there are additional fees on top of Arcanum's plan pricing. These fees are charged by AWS and are based on the number of API calls that need to happen in the background in your AWS environment while your AI assistant is completing tasks. We do our best to make sure you are aware of these fees, by helping you to estimate how much they will be using with the cost sliders on the workflow set up pages in the Arcanum Accelerate Platform.
What will Arcanum offer in the future?

We will be taking on board customer feedback as well as what we see the market needing, to inform new skills and capabilities for our AI assistants for future. How do I integrate the AI-powered service with popular third-party applications?
After you have had your free AI assistant readiness assessment, we will help set you up on your free 30-day trial to get you started. As part of this process, you can choose workflow combinations that invoice integrating with your third party software and systems like Gmail or Xero. We have done our best to make this process as easy for you as possible, so all you need to do is click ‘Connect’ on the relevant steps in the workflow you are setting up, which will bring up a pop up that asks you to grant our secure connection partner Workato permissions to your third party account (much the same as other platforms). After you do this you are ready to go, and it will show as ‘Connected’ rather than ‘Connect’.
How can I customize the service to fit my specific needs or use cases?
When you set up the task workflows for your AI assistant to do, you are able to choose which specific task workflows i.e invoice processing, and which combinations i.e Gmail inbox to Xero draft bills that fits best with your team’s current needs, systems and processes. If you are unable to find the task workflow or combination that you need, we would love it if you could let us know so that we can prioritise it in our roadmap!

Here is Core Loyalty’s AI integration story:
BackgroundCore Loyalty enables businesses to increase engagement, as well as attract and retain B2B and B2C customers and employees by creating and managing impactful loyalty and reward programmes.As part of their solution, Core Loyalty needs to process large amounts of vendor brand invoices on a regular basis in order to reward for purchases. For a good customer experience, it is important that these are processed quickly and with high confidence.
SolutionWorking with Arcanum to harness cutting edge AI technology, Core Loyalty sought to increase customer satisfaction by improving the efficiency and accuracy of processing vendor brand invoices, so that purchase rewards could be given out sooner and with higher confidence.Arcanum implemented an AI powered invoice extraction workflow to supercharge Core Loyalty’s ability to extract data when processing invoices. The AI technology means there are no templates needed to accurately read a wide range of invoices in order to extract key information with higher confidence and accuracy rate.
AWS Solution ArchitectureThe invoice extraction workflow utilises AWS Textract, a machine learning service that automatically extracts text, handwriting and data from document sources. Combining queries with the out of the box capabilities of the analyse expense API, we were able to build our own post processors on top of Textract to create a robust, accurate, and generalised invoice extraction service for Core Loyalty. We also utilised Route 53, VPC, Internet Gateway, Load Balancer, NAT gateway, ECS, ECR, EC2.ImplementationFor Core Loyalty, we were able to utilise the powerful queries feature available in Textract to dynamically handle various types of invoice formats. The capabilities of queries meant that we weren’t limited by changing templates and vendor invoice styles due to their advanced combination of NLP and CV utilisation, as well as the functionality to assign multiple queries to a single alias. For example we could search for the invoice number using multiple queries to broaden the search, such as “What is the invoice number” as well as “What is the document number”. Combining queries with the out of the box capabilities of the analyse expense API, we were able to build a robust, accurate, and generalised invoice extraction service for Core Loyalty.ResultsWe were able to deliver the solution to them quickly leveraging AWS out of the box cloud solutions. Core Loyalty has been able to achieve a 90%+ accuracy rate, which has resulted in very high user satisfaction. Speed of delivery as a result of leveraging AWS cloud architecture allows us to deliver complex solutions to clients in a matter of weeks.The “tweaks” you guys have made in the last 2 months since launch have had a significant impact in processing performance, seems we are optimizing a very high percentage of Vendor brand invoices"

BackgroundJAVLN is a fast growing NZ insurtech, solving broker pain points with smart software. International market entry is a strategic objective, some of which need new intelligent software capability to be unlocked. JAVLN was introduced to Arcanum through AWS.Led by CEO Dale Smith, it took only one call for JAVLN to validate the need for machine learning to support their journey into new markets. JAVLN needs to focus all available developer resources on the core application; working with a partner to build and support a new machine learning capability fit the need for speed and minimal resource distraction.
JourneyExtracting 10 pieces of key information from insurance documents is the core capability JAVLN needed to secure new customers.• Our data science team provided a plan to build, deploy and run the models; including a calculator for the AWS running costs.• Arcanum built a solution to; Run text extraction (OCR), Pre-process raw text, An NLP model to produce a final output• The Arcanum Accelerate platform is used to create deployment code that will run in the JAVLN AWS environment.• To support faster integration, Arcanum built a simple prototype web app to test inputs and outputs.• Once integrated with the core app, detailed MLOps performance monitoring will be available in the Accelerate platform dashboard.

Providing Insights for a Premium Customer Experience
Modica is the largest business SMS messaging company in NZ, with clients including banks, public services and large software applications.Modica recognised that they could provide their clients with deeper insight to their business using their SMS data - with use cases including fraud, privacy, customer sentiment, and anomaly detection. Without their own data insights or Machine Learning expertise in-house, they decided to partner with Arcanum to deliver this new premium product to their clients.We wanted Modica customers to consume the new insights in a dashboard, with alerts that trigger business processes across security, customer experience and marketing.Arcanum built NLP and ML models that generated insights from the millions of messages processed by Modica. This delivered data in near real-time via an API into individual client Quicksight accounts (an AWS dashboard product).Arcanum built and integrated the models within 6 weeks, ready for testing and deployment at scale. Security and privacy were paramount, so Arcanum built the solution to run in the Modica AWS environment, meaning no data left their jurisdiction. All the models are monitored remotely to ensure ongoing quality, compliance and accuracy
